Gem Hours run today, August 8, 2-4 PM and 9-11 PM ET: boosted Gem spawns, Self-Revive at spawn, Mythic loot pool. Every Gem now has a confirmed pull on our trackers - here is how to get yours.

Gem Hours are today. Two sessions, 2 to 4 PM ET and again 9 to 11 PM ET, with Gem spawn rates boosted for all four hours. The Special Hours panel on your dashboard shows both windows in your local time and flips to LIVE NOW when they start.

What's actually boosted

The headline is Gem spawn rates, but the session carries more than that: every player spawns with a Self-Revive Device already in inventory, the Mythic loot pool is active for the whole window, and chests have a chance to hold a Mythic Goldfish. So even a match where no Gem shows up is a match with better loot than normal.

The Self-Revive matters more than it sounds for sprite hunting. The standard way to lose a Gem is dying between finding it and extracting it. Today you get one free mistake per match.

Every Gem has now been pulled

Two days after release we can say something the drop-rate tables suggested would take weeks: every one of the nine Gems has at least one confirmed pull on our trackers. Duck, Demon, Punk and Grim all landed since our day-one report, and Gem Zero Point - the 0.00001% one - now has a second confirmed owner here. The rates are brutal but they are not decorative. People are pulling these.

How to spend the four hours

  1. Play the 2 PM session if you can only do one. If Epic hotfixes anything mid-event, history says it happens between sessions, and the early window is the one guaranteed to run as announced.
  2. Route chests, not fights. Sprite Chests and Relic Chests are where Gems live, and the Mythic pool means third parties are better armed than usual. Let them fight.
  3. Extract the moment you find one. Not at the end of the match. A Gem in the Locker is yours; a Gem in your inventory is a proposal.
  4. Master it tonight - Level 5 plus one extraction puts it in the Mastery Pod permanently, whatever happens to sprites after August 20.
  5. Pull a spare? The trading board is where the other hunters are, and duplicate Gems are the strongest trade currency this season will ever produce.

Our call: the 9 PM session will be the better hunt. Same rates, fewer players awake, less chest competition. If you are serious about Zero Point, that is your window.
