Quackadex 2.0 is live: meet The Hunt
A ground-up redesign — daily quests, streaks, round nests, a new look and a smarter Dex — ready for the new season on day one.
Quackadex just shipped its biggest update ever. Version 2.0 is a ground-up redesign of the whole site, built for one reason: a brand-new Fortnite season lands on August 19, and sprite collectors deserve a tracker that's ready for it on day one.
Here's everything that changed — and why.
Your new home: The Hunt
Open Quackadex and you're no longer looking at a grid. You're looking at The Hunt — a daily home base built around actually playing the collection game:
- Daily quests. Three fresh objectives every day — collect, complete a family, master a sprite. Finish them, claim them, come back tomorrow.
- Your streak. Keep the flame alive by checking in and making progress each day. Miss a day and it resets — collectors, you know what to do.
- A weekly goal that rolls up your daily wins into something worth bragging about.
- The Dust Trail — a milestone path that turns your total progress into a journey, with the next reward always in sight.
The classic full-grid view is still one tap away — it's now the Dex page, sorted A–Z so you can find any sprite instantly on either page.
Families live in nests now
Sprite families are drawn as round nests: every variant arranged in a ring around the family crest, crowns on your mastered sprites, and one tap on any slot to cycle it — missing, found, mastered. It's faster than the old grid for day-to-day updates, and honestly, it's just nicer to look at.
Changed something by accident? Undo now sticks around for a full minute, including after mark-all and clear-all. Deep breaths.
A whole new look
The site wears a new identity we call Golden Hour — warm yolk gold on deep charcoal, rounder shapes, friendlier type, and a brand-new duck logo that now appears everywhere: the header, share cards, and every image you can download and post.
And if the site feels a little... unstable lately? That's not a bug. The closer we get to the new season, the stranger things get. Keep an eye on the background — rare visitors have been spotted drifting through. A live countdown on the home page tracks the exact moment the current season ends.
Dex, front and centre
The Dex assistant — ask it anything about your collection, in plain English — now headlines the new welcome page. "Which Gummy variants am I missing?" "What's the cheapest family left to finish?" It knows your collection and answers in seconds. New here, or want the tour? Hit "Why Quackadex?" in the header.
The small stuff that matters
- Profile bios save properly again — thanks to Zebzaps for the report, and for being Quackadex user number one. Quack on.
- The past-season banner no longer overflows on phones.
- Every color-assistance mode got a readability pass, verified screen by screen.
- Share cards, downloadable scorecards and public pages all carry the new look.
Ready for August 19
When the new season goes live, Quackadex fills with its sprites from day one — and your current collection stays exactly where it is, one season back in the time machine, any time you want to revisit it. Everyone starts the new hunt at 0%.
See you at the nest. 🦆
Track your sprite collection
Quackadex records what you own and what you've mastered across every sprite and variant, and works out what's left. Open the tracker — free, no download.
