Every Fortnite Override Lobby Hack Code (And What It Unlocks)
Chapter 7 Season 4 added Lobby Hacks, Cheat Codes and Match Overrides all at once. Here's what each system does and every Lobby Hack code going around tonight.
Update - August 20, 2026, 3:40 AM ET: Epic's official v42.00 patch notes are out, and they clear up something we had wrong at first pass. Lobby Hack codes aren't just a cosmetic reveal - typing one into the Admin Panel grants real XP, Sprite Dust, and a chance at rare Sprite variants. We've corrected that below, and split out the mechanic from a second, separate one called Cheat Codes that's arguably the bigger deal for anyone tracking their collection. Full patch rundown is its own piece: everything new in v42.00.
Override launched a few hours ago, and if you've already loaded into a lobby tonight you probably noticed the new menu on the lobby screen: a code entry field under something called the Admin Panel. There are also things called Cheat Codes hidden out on the Island itself, which is a different system doing a different job. Both trace back to the same idea - Override's whole pitch is gaming icons hacking their way into Fortnite's reality, so hacking is now something you do too.
Here's what each system actually does, and the full list of Lobby Hack codes going around tonight.

Lobby Hacks vs. Cheat Codes vs. Match Overrides
Override shipped with three separate systems that all use "code" or "hack" in the name, which is exactly as confusing as it sounds. Per Epic's own v42.00 patch notes:
- Lobby Hacks are the ones you find online - phrases like the ones below, typed into the Admin Panel on your pre-game lobby screen. Epic's own description: they "hack your game, granting you XP and Sprite Dust, warping reality for your squad, and even dropping rare Sprite variants." This is not just a visual gag - it's a real reward, and it's the system this article is mainly about.
- Cheat Codes are a separate, in-match system: short button-input codes (the patch notes literally show an arrow sequence) hidden across the Island - "tucked into POIs and sprayed on walls." Find one, interact with it, enter the code, and it frees a Sprite ally on the spot. There's even a new Gizmo, the Cheat Code Locator, that points you at the nearest one. If you're farming Sprites this season, this is the mechanic to actually pay attention to.
- Match Overrides are the console mechanic: Override Consoles spawn in every match, and whoever reaches one first claims it and flips a rule for the entire server - Sonic Speed, Big Loot, Constant Heal and nine others are in the current pool. Your name displays around the console base once you've claimed it, and claiming a Rare or Mythic one broadcasts your squad's location on the map, so it's a genuine risk/reward call, not a free win button.
Lobby Hack codes are case-sensitive. Type them exactly as written below.
The Lobby Hack codes
Before Epic's official notes dropped, most of what circulated came from leakers - FireMonkey and Shiina, sourced in turn from FNBRintel - who correctly called this as a code-entry feature days before launch, even without knowing yet that it paid out real rewards. Here's what each code is tied to:
TakeYourHeart- Persona 5. Reveals the Joker collab.GottaGoFast- Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic headlines the Battle Pass this season, so this one was never much of a mystery.IWannaFlyHigh- also Sonic, specifically the Tails reveal.SurviveTheNight- 99 Nights in the Forest, the Roblox survival horror game Fortnite is crossing over with this season. HYPEX posted the teaser back on August 11: Peely fishing on a lake with the game's antagonist, The Deer, closing in behind him.LetsBlockAndRollandDontBlockMe- both point to Tetris.PerfectOrder- Geno, this season's antagonist. Shiina flagged this one with a question mark rather than a hard confirm, so treat the connection as likely rather than official.O2OVERRIDE- FNAssist reported that O2 confirmed an actual unlock behind this one ahead of launch, described only as a surprise to "help you change the game." With Epic's notes now confirming every Lobby Hack pays out XP, Sprite Dust and a shot at a rare Sprite variant, that surprise is almost certainly this code doing exactly what the others do.Born2Play- a Nintendo tie-in, confirmed by FireMonkey days after the first batch leaked.8BitBlast- Xbox.Magilume- a regional one, tied to Fortnite's Brazil channel rather than a third-party brand.BEMOREALIEN- Alienware. This one's gated behind Alienware Arena membership - you need to clear a Daily Quest in the Arena Command Center before the code does anything.Chispambo,abgestaubt,PERLIMPINPIN- the Spain, Germany and France regional channels respectively, going by the local flavor of each phrase.ReachYourImpossible- tied to PWR, the esports org.
That's sixteen codes total, and going by how the last batch trickled out over more than a week before launch, it's a safe bet more show up as the season goes on. New ones tend to surface first on Discord, then get relayed by whichever leaker catches it fastest.
A note on the source mix here:
O2OVERRIDEand the collab reveals tied to skins already shown in the Battle Pass trailer are about as solid as Fortnite news gets, and the mechanic itself is now Epic-confirmed. The regional and brand-partner codes are individually sourced but scattered across a dozen different posts rather than one clean list, andPerfectOrderspecifically is still carrying the question mark from the leaker who found it. Worth knowing before you take the whole set as gospel.
Worth doing tonight
Every Lobby Hack code is free Sprite Dust and a shot at a rare variant for typing a phrase into a menu you already have open before every match - there's no reason not to run through the list once. The Cheat Codes out on the Island are the better use of your time if you're actively hunting Sprites this week, since those free allies directly rather than rolling a chance at one. Match Overrides are worth grabbing when you're near one, but claiming a good one paints a target on your squad, so that's a judgment call per match.
If a code does something you didn't expect, or a new one shows up that isn't on this list, the Fortnite Discord is still where they're dropping first.
