Treasure Hunters: Everything Else New in v43.00
Beyond the Sprites: Crossbones Isle's POIs, the new weapons, Wanted Posters, Treasure Hours, the economy changes and a calendar the outlets disagree on.
Our Sprite briefing covers the new Sprites and the Cursed and Jeweled variants. This is the rest of v43.00: the map, the weapons, the economy changes, the calendar, and the places where outlets contradict each other. Labels: confirmed means Epic's own post or art, reported means a named outlet, our read means opinion.

The calendar is messier than it looks
Three kinds of dates are getting blended together in coverage, and they are not the same thing.
Captain's Days. A new captain arrives each week with a crew, a POI, and new weapons and Sprites on the map. Beebom lists A$AP Rocky on Nov 1, Lil Uzi Vert on Nov 7, Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto on Nov 14, and Oscar on Nov 21. Reported. TimeSaver adds Buggy and a Megalodon to Nov 7 and the Frenzy Auto Shotgun to Nov 21. Reported, single outlet.
Item shop drops. Luffy, Nami and Usopp on Nov 1. Rocky on Nov 5. Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper sidekick on Nov 7. Uzi on Nov 12, Buggy on Nov 13, Teto and Miku on Nov 14. Per Sportskeeda and Beebom. Reported.
Nov 12. This is where it gets tangled. TimeSaver's season page lists Nov 12 among Epic's Captain's Day dates, but no captain is attached to it anywhere we can find. Beebom ties the same date to update 43.10 and the arrival of Gold Sprites, and TimeSaver says Springfield replaces Nitemare Island in Reload that day. Our read: Nov 12 is a patch day first, and whatever Epic drops on the map that day rides along with it. If Epic's own notes name a captain, this paragraph changes.
For collectors the date that matters is Nov 12. It is the first time a third variant tier shows up, per Beebom. Plan around that, not around a fifth captain.
Treasure Hours replace Power Hours
TimeSaver, citing Epic's Oct 30 post, says Treasure Hours run on Sundays and add Captain's weapons to the start of every match, plus boosted drops. Reported. The exact windows and boost sizes have not been published anywhere we can read.
Mastery Mondays carry on: every Monday from 9 AM ET, with 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust, per TimeSaver. Reported. The first one is Nov 2.
Our position: a fixed Sunday is easier to plan around than rolling windows, and worse if you only play on weekdays. We will not guess at the rest.
Crossbones Isle, name by name
Epic's map art shows twelve labels. Epic's launch notes describe eleven locations. Only six names appear on both lists, per TimeSaver's map breakdown.
On both: Rubber Resort, Arlong Park, Windmill Village, Loguetown, Plunder Port and the boss ship, which the notes write as The $.$. Rocky. That last one is a correction. Our day-one piece had "S.S. Rocky", as some outlets did. Epic's spelling is dollar, period, dollar.
In the notes only: Lantern Lanes, Baratie Bay, Fort Fortuna, Crew's Cove, Captain's Cenote. On the map art only: The Chest, Loot Lagoon, Lil' Uzi's Stronghold, Lantern Landing, Cursed Cavern, Busy Bay. It is tempting to pair them (Lantern Lanes with Lantern Landing, Baratie Bay with Busy Bay) and TimeSaver does, tentatively. Treat every pairing as a guess until somebody lands in each.
Two odd details. Rubber Resort has a duck-shaped yacht, which we mention strictly because we are a duck site. And Crew's Cove, a ship beside a waterfall in a hidden cove, is not placed on the map at all.
Cannons launch you across the island, per Epic's notes as relayed by TimeSaver. Confirmed. How many there are and where is not published.
New weapons and items
Reported by Beebom and TimeSaver, and the names agree. No stats yet from any source, so we are not quoting any.
- Gum-Gum Fruit (Luffy): long-range rubber punches, foot slams, a launch-yourself charge.
- Flame-Flame Fruit (Ace): rapid shots and a Fire Fist finisher.
- Zoro's Three Sword Style: three katanas and a dash.
- Usopp's Slingshot: a heavy-round marksman weapon.
- Shock Rocket: Rocky's airborne rocket barrage. Not in Competitive.
- Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle: fully automatic, best at medium range.
- Gilded Dragoon Shotgun: single-fire, small magazine, big hit.
- Explosive Cannon Ball: throw it, or load it into a Cannon. Not in Competitive.
- Nami's Tangerine: heals health and shield, with a speed boost in water.
- Meat on a Stick: a heal with a short regen.
- Wanted Poster: see below.
Beebom says the Gum-Gum and Flame-Flame Fruits become Mythic weapons next season, going by the key art. That is a read of promotional art, not an Epic statement.
The unvault is large: Sentinel Pump, Auto Shotgun, Flint-Knock Pistol, Sidearm, Machine SMG, Tactical SMG, Hammer AR, Zipline Deployer, Overdrive Grenade, plus Slurp Juice and the fish consumables. The Lever Action Shotgun, Frenzy Auto Shotgun and Flapjack Rifle are held for later weeks.
The Wanted Poster is the Sprite item
Tear one down and, per Beebom, you get a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest. TimeSaver's reading of Epic's post agrees that Wanted Posters lead to buried Sprite Chests, but nobody says what is inside. Epic also mentions Map Fragments, "just one piece of something bigger", and has not said what they unlock.
This is the first mechanic that points a Sprite hunt somewhere other than the chest you were already standing next to. We have not run one in a match yet, so what a buried chest pays out is open. Of everything in this patch, it is the item to learn first.
Economy changes
Reported by both Beebom and TimeSaver, so these are about as solid as day-one coverage gets:
- Gold Bars are vaulted.
- Hiring NPCs is free.
- Vending Machines are gone.
- Pocket-O-Matics stay in Zero Build only.
- Golden Apple is reworked. TimeSaver has it granting 40 effective health instead of 50, with overflow healing going into shield.
Our read: with Gold Bars gone and followers free, there is little reason to hoard anything mid-match except the ammo you actually use.
Mastery got reworked
Beebom reports a new Sprite Mastery page that unlocks each week, and a Strongbox that upgrades as you progress. Both outlets say mastering 40 Sprites earns the Navigator's Nosedive Umbrella, and Beebom puts that around week two. Reported. It is a mastery milestone, not an ownership one, which is the same reason we keep telling people to finish masteries. Beebom also reports Sprites now sort in numbered order, each with a Sprite Stamp recording how you got it.
Ranked, briefly
New Ranked rewards per TimeSaver: AHOY! Emoticon at Gold, By Order of Geno Loading Screen at Platinum, This Must Be the Spot Spray at Diamond, Par-Rot Back Bling at Elite, Double-Duty Duelist Pickaxe at Unreal. Zoro Cup and Buggy Cup icons arrive Nov 6 and Nov 13. Reported.
Story
The Straw Hat Pirates are part of the island's storyline, per Beebom, and Captain X's Mega Chest is hidden somewhere on it. Epic has not said where. Beebom also reports a Chapter 7 end event on Saturday Dec 5. That is a single outlet, and Ofzen and Computing's early notes do not mention it, so treat the date as soft.
What we would do
- Mark Nov 12 as the date that changes the tracker.
- Learn Wanted Posters before anything else.
- Do not trust any one-to-one POI pairing yet.
- Do the weekly mastery page early. Forty is the number to aim at.
Corrections go at the top as Epic's full notes and the first captain weeks land. Browse everything already tracked on the Sprites page.
