Draw Our Next Duck: The Quackadex Logo Competition
Quackadex is opening its logo to the community - hand-drawn fan art only, no AI. Winning ducks rotate in as the site logo with each sprite season. Submissions to logo@quackadex.com.
Quackadex needs a new duck, and we want a real person to draw it.

That's the current logo up there. It has done its job since day one - it's original artwork, it's ours, and it's a duck. But it was made by the one person who runs this site, and that person is a lot better at building trackers than drawing waterfowl. The community deserves a better bird.
The ask
Draw us a logo. Hand-drawn, by you. Digital tools are fine - tablets, Procreate, a mouse and pure stubbornness, whatever. What we will not accept is AI-generated art. Not partially, not "AI base with touch-ups", not at all.
Why the hard line? This site serves a community that's already wading through AI slop everywhere else. The one image that sits at the top of every page, in every browser tab, and on every share card should be something a human actually made. We use plenty of automation behind the scenes here; the logo is different. A logo is identity, and identity should have a person behind it.
Remember: it's a logo, not an illustration
This matters more than style. Whatever you draw has to survive being a LOGO:
- It has to work tiny. The same image becomes a 32px favicon, a browser tab icon, and a phone home-screen icon. If the details vanish at thumbnail size, it can't be the logo, no matter how good the full-size art is.
- Square-ish, with a clear silhouette. A simple or transparent background beats a busy scene every time.
- It has to be a duck. We're flexible on almost everything else. Not that.
- Completely original. No Fortnite assets, no Epic logos or fonts, no sprite artwork, nothing traced from the game. This is a legal requirement, not a preference - the whole reason the duck exists is that it belongs to nobody but us. A submission with Epic's property in it gets disqualified on sight.
What winning means
The winning duck becomes the Quackadex logo - the favicon, the header, the app icon, all of it, with credit to you. And it won't be a one-time thing: we plan to rotate community logos with future sprite seasons, so a great submission that doesn't win the first round can still headline the site later. If Epic ever ships another collectible system like Sprites and we build for it, special versions of the site could carry their own community duck too.
You keep ownership of your art. By submitting, you're telling us two things: you drew it yourself, and you're OK with Quackadex using it as the site logo with your name (or display name) credited.
How to enter
Email your duck to logo@quackadex.com with:
- The image, at the largest size you have (PNG with transparency is ideal)
- The name or Quackadex display name you want credited
- One line confirming it's your own work, drawn by hand
Submissions are open now. We'll announce the first winner and the rotation schedule right here in the guides - and yes, the current duck will take the loss gracefully.
Track your sprite collection
Quackadex records what you own and what you've mastered across every sprite and variant, and works out what's left. Open the tracker — free, no download.
