Every Confirmed Collab in Fortnite Override, and When Each One Actually Lands

Updated 21 August 2026 · 4 min read

season 4 collabs official events

Sonic and Tetris are live now. Kingdom Hearts, Persona 5, and a first-ever Roblox crossover are Epic-confirmed for later this season - here's every collab and what it actually adds.

Override's whole pitch is gaming legends hacking their way into Fortnite's reality, and Epic wasn't kidding about the scale of it. Our day-one piece covered the new Sprites and the patch notes covered the weapons and mechanics, but the collab list itself - who's actually showing up this season, and when - deserves its own rundown. Epic's own launch post names eight franchises arriving "all Season long," and only some of them are live today.

Live at launch

Sonic the Hedgehog headlines the Battle Pass outright - Epic's own post confirms Sonic unlocks the moment you buy the Pass, not at a level milestone, paired with a Tails Sidekick backpack item. Buy before August 27 at 11:59 PM ET and you get the Infiltrator Grace Crowne Outfit as a launch bonus; gift the Pass to a friend any time this season and you both get the Peril Peak Mali Outfit. Sonic's Power Sneakers (Spin Dash, Spin Attack) and the new Green Hill Zone POI are both live now - we covered the moveset in the patch notes and the POI in the day-one briefing, so we won't repeat either here. Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and Rush are reported heading to the Item Shop as separate purchases rather than Battle Pass content, per Vice and Techtimes - reported, not yet something we've seen priced ourselves.

Tetris is the other launch-day crossover, in the form of Wrixel, a blocky, fully-modular Battle Pass skin with what the outlet coverage puts at over a million possible piece combinations (The Click). The Tetris Rift throwable (drop pieces, clear four lines for a big heal) is live and already in the patch notes writeup.

Confirmed, arriving later this season

Epic's own post is explicit that these are still coming, not live yet: "New items and Outfits will arrive in the Shop all Season long including: KINGDOM HEARTS, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Persona 5 Royal, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, 99 Nights in the Forest, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon in his iconic legacy look, and more." Two weapons tied to that wave are already named for later drops: Kingdom Key (Kingdom Hearts) and Rebecca's Guns (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners).

The two worth knowing about ahead of time:

Kingdom Hearts' Sora is the biggest one on paper - a three-way deal between Epic, Disney and Square Enix, and one that's been rumored since February. KH Insider and Vice both report the skin drops Mickey-Mouse-shaped visual elements from Sora's design, which tracks with Disney's separate ownership of that character - a Kingdom Hearts skin that can't fully look like Kingdom Hearts is a strange asterisk on an otherwise huge get. It's reported as an Item Shop bundle alongside a Keyblade pickaxe, not Battle Pass content.

Persona 5's Joker got the flashiest reveal of the bunch: type TakeYourHeart, the Phantom Thieves' actual calling-card phrase, into the Lobby Hack Admin Panel and it unlocks a teaser clip - which is a genuinely clever way to run an ARG, using the same mechanic the lobby hack piece already covers for other reveals. He ships with a Morgana Sidekick companion (that's Morgana in the key art above, headphones and all). Item Shop, reported by multiple outlets, not Battle Pass.

99 Nights in the Forest is the one worth pausing on, and not because of anything in the collab itself. It's a Roblox survival-horror game - a competitor's platform - and by outlet accounts it's the first Roblox title to cross into Fortnite at all (Sportskeeda). The source game has players surviving 99 nights against wolves, cultists and a monster called the Deer; Fortnite's own teaser is Peely fishing while the Deer creeps up behind him, and the SurviveTheNight Lobby Hack code ties back to it. Nobody outside Epic has said yet whether this becomes a full LTM or just a cosmetic wave - that part is still unclear, not just unconfirmed.

Mega Man, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro round out Epic's named list. Mega Man's Mega Buster arm cannon is already live and in the patch notes; the character skins for that group haven't shipped or been priced as of this piece going up.

What we're not covering here

Nothing above is a Sprite. Sonic, Tails and Jazz Jackrabbit exist as Sprites too this season - little, catchable creatures with their own powers, tracked separately from any Item Shop skin - and we ran the full new roster in the day-one briefing. Owning the Sonic skin doesn't get you the Sonic Sprite and catching the Sprite doesn't unlock the skin; they just happen to share a name and a season. None of the collabs in this piece - Joker, Sora, Wrixel, or anything still to come - has a matching Sprite confirmed, and we'll say so plainly if that changes rather than guessing ahead of it.

Track your sprite collection separately from any of this at the full Sprite Dex - none of it moves because of a skin drop.
