The Optimal Sprite Farming Route for Chapter 7 Season 3

Updated 10 August 2026 · 4 min read

farming routes maps season 3

The Sprite farming route players are running in the final stretch before Season 3 ends August 20: the nine-chest eastern arc from Lifty Lodge to Wonkeeland, the guaranteed-vault run, two quiet loops, and the community's own hand-drawn maps.

Ten days. Season 3 ends August 20, Sprites were a season feature, and these routes are the last dependable window to close gaps before the flip - here is why that deadline is real. So this is the version to run right now.

Everyone asks where the Sprite Chests are. The honest answer is "lots of places", which is useless when the bus is counting down, so we built route maps. Four of them, drawn on the official Shattered Coast map, using chest locations the community has pinned down plus what the route guides agree on. And the r/FortniteBattleRoyale thread people keep linking when someone asks for "the optimal route" lands on the same top pick we did: the eastern arc from Lifty Lodge to Wonkeeland. Pick one, learn it, run it until it bores you.

A few ground rules before the routes. Chests do not spawn every match, so a dry run happens and means nothing - skip an empty spot and keep moving. Turn on Visualized Sounds; the chest chime renders on screen and you will walk past fewer of them. If you play Zero Build, the mode keeps handing you Shockwave Grenades, and bouncing between spawns beats running them on foot. One quirk worth knowing: players report that bot lobbies only spawn Water, Fire and Earth, so if you are hunting anything rarer, you want real lobbies.

Our routes

Route A: the Northern Arc

Lifty Lodge, down through The Battlewoods, across to Latte Landing, ending at Wonkeeland. This is the route the guides recommend and the one with the most spawns on it - around nine possible chests end to end, with The Battlewoods the fattest cluster in the middle. Traffic is light after the first minute because most lobbies drop south. If you only learn one, learn this one.

Route B: the Vault Run

Sinister Strip, north to The Zero Point, east into Frosted Flats. Short, and the richest per minute: Sinister Strip alone holds four chest spawns - the single densest POI on the map - and both it and Frosted Flats have an Epic Sprite Vault with three guaranteed chests inside. The catch is everyone knows it. Expect company, bring a shotgun, and in Zero Build expect the fight before the vault.

Route C: the Southern Sweep

Heatwave Harbor along the water to Sunken Shores, Wettest-Bones, Shaken Sanctuary, out to Cluster Coast. Five POIs, decent spawn coverage, and the waterways make rotations fast in either direction. Good storm insurance - you are never far from the next circle.

Route D: the Desert Loop

Chopped Shop down the west coast through Carwash and Dine 'n Docks, cutting inland to Calamari Canyon and Collider X. Fewest spawns of the four but the quietest lobbies we have seen running it, and it ends mid-map with the storm usually still open. The route for when you want the chests without the third parties.

Which one, with the clock running

Hunting a specific Gem before the season ends? Route B, and accept the fights - the vaults are guaranteed chests and Gem odds are brutal enough that guarantees matter. Leveling toward mastery? Route A, because volume and survival both count when you need to extract, and mastery is the part you actually keep after August 20. New player still learning the island? Route C, then graduate to A.

What the community mapped

We are not the only ones who sat down with the map. The r/FortniteBattleRoyale thread this guide keeps pointing to, started by u/Then-Introduction945, has players trading their own hand-drawn routes, and a few are genuinely sharper than ours - marked up straight on the in-game map, with their own loops and priorities. Here are the ones worth stealing from, each credited to the player who drew it; open the thread to see them in context.

A player-drawn sprite chest route marked on the island map

Route by the thread's author, u/Then-Introduction945, in the same thread.

Different eyes, different lines. Cross-check them against ours, run whichever one clicks, and if you have drawn a better one, post it in chat - the next revision steals the good ideas.

The dots on our maps are community-reported spawns, drawn soft on purpose - they are close, not surveyed. And whatever you pull: extract it, then mark it in your tracker before you forget which variant it was - the whole catalog is here if you are filling holes.
